Luke Cole is a British novelist and screenwriter from Hastings, England. He has been a writer since he learnt how to spell, and has always loved writing historical fiction, for its escapism and his passion for humanising the figures who inhabited the past.
He graduated with a degree in Screenwriting and a Masters in Creative Writing and Publishing at Bournemouth University, where he received an alumni award for his historical graduate script idea Time Tough. His writing is deeply influenced by the enchanting storytelling of Shane Meadows, Pat Barker, Noah Hawley, and John Williams, and although all human history appeals to him, he especially enjoys the social, cultural, and political contexts of the UK in the 1960s, 70s and 80s. In his spare time, Luke is a musician, digital artist, activist, and devoted Star Wars fan.
